Eric and I have been trying to figure out what to do about the carpet on our stairs. We have tried to clean it by hand and by two different carpet cleaning machines. It still was horrible.Eric took off the top section of carpet and put it outside and than tried to clean it with our carpet shampooer. It was taking forever and didn't look as good as we hoped. So he suggested that we put it in the washing machine. I was not convinced that it was a good idea, but since we would have to get new carpet if we couldn't get it clean, there wasn't much to lose. So he put it in the washer 2 times and presto, it looks great. The first picture is the stairs on the part he hasn't go to yet, and the second is our washing machine washed carpet.

Michael loves to get into his dog costume, that is a few years old. you might notice it is a little small. There is a picture of the puppy attacking a poor innocent victim (Ashley). And then the dog taking a piggyback ride on his victim.
