I Am Truly Amazed

I am really amazed at how many posts have been made by everyone. And I think it is so cool to get to see what is going on in everyone's life. My kids have really enjoyed seeing pictures of everyone, especially their cousins.

I got a bunch of paintings back today from the gallery. The gallery tried to open another location in Tempe and moved my show there right after it opened. But NOTHING sold in the Tempe location and so they had to close the gallery. NOTHING included my paintings. So even though three of my paintings sold within a few days of the opening when they were in the Scottdale gallery, not a single other painting sold. So unlike my previous two shows that both sold out, I ended up with most of the paintings back. It's very disappointing, especially since if they were left in Scottsdale they would have sold. So we decorated the house with paintings today--mainly the kids rooms. And I'm giving some paintings to the models.

I'm not getting a lot of painting done lately because work is crazy and so I don't have a lot of time.

Today I got a message from Lezlee saying she found something about me on the internet. When I went to the link there was a blog with a post titled KIRK HAYS IS A WASTER! I couldn't figure out what was going on and who was posting this until I clicked on the video I've linked below.

To understand the video you have to know that one of my favorite shows right now is Breaking Bad. The star is the guy who played the dad in Malcolm In The Middle. He's who you see in this video clip. In the show he plays a high school chemistry teach who becomes disillusioned when he is diagnosed with cancer and then finds out that his wife is pregnant and he can't afford treatment. So he'll die and leave his wife and newborn with huge debt. He decides to make money by using his chemistry knowledge to cook the best meth anyone has seen. But he's not much of a gangster and so the show follows his misguided exploits. Now here's the clip.

It's kind of freaky huh.

Lezlee thinks I stress over stuff a bit to much. So she's going to save me. Today she booked a house on the beach in Rocky Point for May. We're going to spend five days down there, sitting on the beach and relaxing. Don't worry, I'll post pictures so you can all dream of being there while you're freezing in the winter!!
