Holden had his Eagle project last week. He's right on track to get his Eagle on the very last day possible before he turns 18. He painted over graffiti. He had about 45 people show up to help out and
he did a great job organizing everyone.
Here he is motivating everyone to work hard.
And here he is at the lunch after with his girlfriend Noel. They've been dating for a little over a year now. She's a student at Northern Arizona University and studying to become a doctor. What can I say, my boy likes the older ladies. They were on the high school debate team together last year.

Holden also got admitted to BYU-Idaho this week and so he's going to be going there in the fall. It will be nice for him to be close to his Grandma and Grandpa Peterson too. At least we'll know he'll got one good meal a week and have somewhere to wash his clothes. His best friend Austin got in too, which is good. And his girlfriend isn't going there, which is good too. We looked at places he might stay when we were in Rexburg after Christmas. Only at a church school would dorms advertise that a "free monthly haircut" is included with each room.
We're running out of walls for our ever growing art collect and so we've moved out doors. Here are two pieces of art that we got this week. We commissioned the artist--pictured--to make them. They're made on stained sheets of steel and he uses a grinder to "draw" the pictures. They look really cool.
He's a pretty cool guy. He was a math teacher and then decided that he wanted to be an artist. So he moved to Arizona with only a few hundred bucks and some tools. Now he designs and makes metal pieces for the same art gallery that represents me and for all types of clients. He makes furniture, cool metal gates, sculptures, fireplaces--all types of stuff. We like his stuff so much we also got a cool bench and chair for the front porch.
I thought it would be nice to put everyone's birthdays on the blog. But I wouldn't even pretend to know everyone's birthday's so leave me a comment with your family's birthday's and I'll add them.
And now for something completely different.
I'm looking forward to reading your posts. Kirk
